David Mignot
CEO, Africa
David Mignot is a telecom engineer and economist. He began his career in 1996 in consulting, more specifically in the pay-TV and telecommunications businesses, where he was involved in operator launches in several countries. In 1999, he co-founded a pay-TV operator in the Indian Ocean, which he managed for nearly ten years . He then joined the telecommunications sector by becoming Managing Director of the Outremer Telecom Group, where he restored profitability and where he successfully implemented mobile offers. In 2011, David Mignot joined CANAL+ as Project Director in charge of the Africa strategic plan. Since June 2013, David Mignot has been CEO AFRICA of the CANAL+ Group, under his leadership, the Africa activity has seen its subscriber base grow from 500,000 to 8 million subscribers and the successful launch of FTTH offers in a dozen countries. His family is bicultural, French and Mauritian.

Byron has spent most of his career at MultiChoice where he started as a financial analyst. He was previously the Deputy CFO for MultiChoice Group and before that, CFO of MultiChoice Corporate and MCSA.
Byron’s previous roles include being a senior financial manager overlooking MultiChoice’s technology and content platforms. He also worked at Naspers and served as a segment controller for the video entertainment business and was later instrumental in the unbundling of the MultiChoice Group from Naspers and its listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 2018.

Fahmeeda holds a variety of qualifications in Media Management, Strategic Marketing, Strategic Planning, Business Management, and Journalism. She began her career as a sports journalist and has worked for City Press and SABC Radio. She joined the MultiChoice Group in 1998 and has since held a variety of positions within DStv Media Sales, the advertising and sponsorship arm of the business.
