MultiChoice Botswana appoints new Managing Director, Lorato Mwape
MultiChoice Botswana is proud to announce the appointment of Ms Lorato Mwape as its Managing Director.
Lorato ascends into this position from her former post as Head of Customer Care and Experience, a role she held when she joined the business in April 2019. Mwape brings with her a wealth of experience from Botswana’s leading telecommunications organizations where she has led teams in retail operations as well as outbound call centers and customer-service focused functions.
For 28 years MultiChoice Botswana has grown hand-in-hand with the communities in which it operates in by fostering partnerships with local entities, contributing to the growth of Botswana’s economy, and through the provision of an incomparable service in the delivery of DStv across the nation through our branches in Gaborone, Maun and Francistown and our agencies in Mahalapye, Molepolole, Serowe, Palapye, Jwaneng, Kanye and Ghanzi.

It is through her passion for finding alternatives and solutions to customer’s problems that saw her career in the Customer Care space achieve unexpected heights, and ultimately leading her to the role she has recently stepped into at MultiChoice Botswana.
“In each and every role I have undertaken in my professional career, my mandate has always been to create solutions to everyday problems that supersede both the internal and external customer’s expectations. I’ve learnt that the only way to achieve this is through listening, learning and improving. Through my own work, passion and drive, my hope is to empower those I lead to do the same,” says Mwape.
Prior to her joining MultiChoice Botswana, Mwape has has worked in the roles of Service Quality Manager, Customer Care Service & Quality Manager, Retail Manager and Call Centre Manager in her over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications space. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Majoring in Marketing Management from MANCOSA, Honours Diploma in Applied Management and business skills from University of Stellenbosch, and a Certificate in Management.
